Otis Frampton's "Big Fat Sketch Card" Sale

From Otis Frampton's Website:
"If you've been watching this blog, you know that I'm switching to a wide format for my sketch cards. The cards are the same size as other wider trading cards that have been on the market for a while now (2 1/2 x 5 inches) and each card will be sold with a wide Top Loader plastic holder. They are drawn using Micron pens and Prismacolor markers & pencils.

Here are some samples of new card format:

UK CardCast: Episode 21 a & b - The Return of the Sketch Artists

Paul Bines' has uploaded the latest excellent episode of the UK CardCast (which I just happen to contribute too). This one will be of particular interest to sketch collectors.

"Episode 21 a & b - The Return of the Sketch Artists Part a and Part b (06 October 2009) Our Artist Special returns for a bumper episode featuring interviews with artists Ingrid Hardy, Dane Ault, Trev Murphy and Brandon Kenney, with news updates from regulars Harris Toser and Kris Kersey! Don't forget to download or stream BOTH parts!"

Major Updates and Subscriptions

Hello fellow collectors!

Note: If you don't read anything beyond this point, please read the revised About Sketch Collectors link on the site.

I have been hard at work to bring you the biggest set of updates to hit Sketch Collectors since its initial release. But, before I get into that, I would like to tell all of you "Thank You" for making the site such a success. With your continued uploads, we have managed to create the largest set of sketch card images on the Internet! This has built a place where people can browse for hours and find out about new artists, new sets, and just about the hobby in general. Let's keep it growing!

Now onto new features. With this release, I wanted to bring in many new additions that aid everyone in their site experience. This means that I will continue to make the site easier to use and more functional. Here are the features/updates that all members can enjoy:
* User-configurable number of cards per row.
* New, more powerful sorting in the "My Collection" view.
* Hide columns you don't need from the "My Collection" view.
* "Cards Not Owned By Me" search filter.
* Sort private messages.
* Mass delete private messages.

I am also happy to announce the addition of a subscription program to the site. With site subscriptions, I aim to support the site and increase the ability for me to continue site development and maintain internet hosting services. Subscribers to the site will receive premium features for their patronage and will receive first priority when requesting new features. Here are the initial features you will now find on the site:
* Up to 5 custom-defined fields in the database.
* Post comments on member's cards. (Everyone can view these comments.)
* View up to 100 cards per page.
* The ability to post cards For Sale/Trade is now a subscriber-only feature.

You can find out more about site subscriptions on your "Personal Settings" page on the site.

Again, thank you all for your continued support of the site. Keep in mind that I always welcome feedback and I'd be happy to hear from you about any topic in this posting.
